Goal:

  1. To identify the priority learning needs of advanced practice nurses to improve their knowledge, skills, and confidence to integrate research and research related activities into their roles.
  2. To identify advanced practice nurse preferences for learning formats and modes of delivery to improve their knowledge, skills, and confidence to integrate research and research related activities into their roles.
  3. To identify advanced practice nurse preferences about resources and supports to facilitate the integration of research and research related activities into their roles
  4. To examine individual, role, and jurisdictional factors that may influence advanced practice nursing learning needs and preferences.

Methods:

  1. Quantitative survey in two stages
    • Survey of nurse practitioners in Canada
    • Survey of advanced practice nurses internationally
